- Full Name — used to generate your certificate. Must be accurate as it cannot be changed after certificate issuance.
- Email Address — used to deliver your certificate PDF and communicate with you.
- Phone Number — collected for registration purposes.
- Course Selection — the course you choose to be assessed in.
- Assessment Results — your score, correct answers, grade, and pass/fail status.
- Payment Transaction ID — provided by Razorpay after successful payment. We do not store card numbers, CVV, UPI IDs, or bank account details.
- Referral Code — if you were referred by someone, we record this to process referral commissions.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely for the following purposes:
- To generate your personalised certificate PDF with your name, course, score, and grade.
- To deliver your certificate to your registered email address.
- To create a unique Credential ID linked to your certificate for recruiter verification.
- To process and confirm your payment via Razorpay.
- To track referral commissions for authorised Credlify promoters.
- To respond to your support queries sent to credlify.official@gmail.com.
- To improve our platform, fix bugs, and monitor system health.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not listed above.
4. Public Verification Data
When a certificate is issued, the following information becomes publicly verifiable at credlify.in/verify.html by anyone who has your Credential ID:
- Your full name
- Course name
- Score and grade
- Issue date
- Certificate status (Valid / Revoked)
This public verifiability is a core feature of the platform, enabling recruiters and employers to confirm the authenticity of your certificate. By purchasing a certificate, you consent to this information being publicly verifiable.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in a secured MySQL database hosted on Railway.app, a cloud infrastructure provider with industry-standard security practices. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.
However, no method of data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Payment Security
All payment transactions are handled by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway. Credlify never sees, processes, or stores your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, net banking credentials, or any other sensitive payment information. All such data is handled exclusively by Razorpay's secure servers.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Razorpay — to process your payment securely.
- Resend (email service) — to deliver your certificate email. Only your email address and certificate content are shared.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or government authority.
8. Cookies & Session Storage
Credlify uses browser sessionStorage (not cookies) to temporarily hold your registration data and assessment results during your active session. This data is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any persistent browser storage.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal data as long as necessary to provide our services. Specifically:
- Student registration and result data is retained indefinitely to support certificate verification.
- Payment transaction IDs are retained for accounting and dispute resolution purposes.
- If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or to maintain the integrity of issued certificates.
10. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — You may request correction of inaccurate data (note: names on issued certificates cannot be altered).
- Deletion — You may request deletion of your data, subject to legal and operational limitations.
- Objection — You may object to specific uses of your data.
